British Muni Weekend

The second British Muni Weekend (BMW2 to its friends) took place on the 12th-14th May 2000. We were again back at The Inside Park in Dorset.

The events were...

Rides in Puddletown forest. There were nominally two groups (fast and slow) but the 2 rides met up in a number of places and there was much swapping of groups going on as people either got tired or wanted a harder challenge with more hills.
A trailquest event. 20 checkpoints were scattered around the farm with points values that reflected how difficult the point was to get. There was 1.5 hours allowed with stringent penalties (lots of lost points) for those who came in late. Because of this, noone was late. Full results are available here.
There was a quick bash at dual slalom down the hill on the campsite. It was good fun, but overtaking turned out to be nigh on impossible.
There was a ride (in glorious sunshine) to the pub in Blandford on Sunday. The fast ride even went over an iron-age hill fort.
