British Muni Weekend 5

What is it?

A weekend to meet up with fellow off-road unicycle enthusiasts. This is the fifth in the series of BMWs, following BMW1 and BMW2. BMW3 and BMW4 were in the Forest of Dean.

This year Joe Marshall has taken on the task of organising it and it looks like he has chosen an excellent venue...

Who is it for?

Hopefully anyone from beginner to expert will gain much from the weekend although having some experience of riding off-road and bringing a unicycle with a knobbly 24" or 26" wheel would be ideal. Anyone who is reasonably fit should be able to keep in touch with the groups at a brisk walking pace.

For non-unicyclists in your party there are plenty of nearby attractions not to mention the walks in the surrounding forest and mountain areas.

When is it?

From Friday evening 3rd October to Sunday Afternoon (5th October) If you can't manage the whole weekend why not just come along for a day?

Where is it?

The campsite is on the edge of Dolgellau in North-West Wales.

Saturday's rides will be at Coed y Brenin - a mountain biker's mecca of man-made singletrack and forestry paths (with a cafe!). You might want instructions on how to get there.

Sunday's ride will be on Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa to the Welsh) (an appalling Flash site for the National Park is available .)

What does it cost?

There's no fixed fee.
Just pay for your own accommodation & food plus a share any car parking charges incurred.

Anything special to note?

Yes! Joe says...
If you could book yourself in at the campsite (phone number 01341 422269) in advance that'd be best, but if not, the lady on the phone said the camping field was quite big, so it won't be full. I told her I'd invited a whole bunch of people, but not that it was a organised event (which it isn't really), so please don't mention the British Muni Weekend on the phone.
